What is an Empathy Circle?
An Empathy Circle is a structured dialogue process based on mutual active listening. The process increases constructive dialogue and mutual understanding by ensuring that each person feels fully heard to their satisfaction.
Empathy Café
The circle takes different forms. In the Empathy Cafe, we invite anyone that would like to attend, 10 to 20+ participants. After an initial introduction, we divide into Empathy Circles of 4 to 5 participants, each with a facilitator.
Empathy Circle
In some empathy circles we typically have two participants from the political left and two from the right and a facilitator and co-facilitator.
